CORTLAND, NY – (March 6, 2025) The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) warns of false claims of ALI certification through improper use of ALI’s corporate logo. At the time of this Buyer Beware posting the website for TecnoRampa displays ALI’s mark in conjunction with certification claims. TecnoRampa is not affiliated with the ALI and is not authorized to claim ALI certification or use ALI’s corporate logo.
The American National Safety Standard for automotive lifts (ANSI/ALI ALCTV) applies only to automotive lifts—it does not cover dock levelers, scissor load elevators, or any other type of dock or leveler. Any claim suggesting otherwise, especially when paired with ALI’s logo, is false and misleading to the public. This fraudulent misrepresentation unethically leads shop owners, service technicians, lift buyers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction, such as Ministry of Labour and Occupational Health and Safety officials to believe that product safety evaluations and listings have occurred in accordance with known standards and independent testing and certification requirements defined by national safety standards.
To ensure you receive genuine ALI Certified products, always verify certification through ALI’s Directory of Certified Lifts and purchase lifts only from ALI member companies or authorized program participants.
Intentionally applying fraudulent product safety labels is irresponsible and violates public trust. This Buyer Beware posting supports ALI’s mission to promote the safe design, construction, installation, inspection, and use of automotive lifts.
